EEG biofeedback is effective for children with SLD in improving auditory memory, reading memory, reading fluency, etc.
Biofeedback therapy, including EEG biofeedback, is generally considered a safe treatment option with any side effects, if present, being mild and temporary. However, for certain medical conditions it may not be advisable, moreover it is best to get physical evaluation done before starting with the sessions.
The number of sessions differs for each individual depending on their type of SLD, the severity of their disability, as well as how effective EEG biofeedback sessions are for them.
